Mixing is one of the most crucial technical aspects of any musical production. A fantastic mix can elevate a great basement demo to the level of professional quality, whereas a bad mix can take a multi-thousand dollar production and ruin the artist’s vision. Emerging artists should be aware that while much of the music production process can be done in a DIY environment, mixing often can’t (trust me, I learned this the hard way). It takes years of experience to create professional-quality mixes that are also unique to an artist’s vision. I have spent a large portion of my professional career obsessing over how to create world-class mixes so that you don’t have to. Do yourself a favor and listen to how one of your songs can sound after my professional mixing treatment.
Below are examples of songs I have mixed in a variety of genres from shoegaze, alternative country, indie folk, jazz, and alternative rock/grunge.
